1. Data Controller

The data controller responsible for this website is the operator of Rowcorder (see Impressum for contact details). If you have questions about data protection, please contact us at privacy@rowcorder.com.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following data when you use Rowcorder:

  • Account data: Email address, display name, avatar (from Google OAuth if used)
  • Usage data: Analyses created, templates used, credit transactions
  • Media files: Videos and photos you upload for analysis. These are processed via Google Gemini API and deleted immediately after processing. We do not store your media files.
  • Payment data: Processed by Stripe. We store only a reference ID, not your card details.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, access times (via server logs)

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the Rowcorder service
  • To process payments and manage your credit balance
  • To send transactional emails (analysis results, account notifications)
  • To comply with legal obligations

4. Third-Party Services

  • Supabase (EU): Authentication and database hosting
  • Google Gemini API: AI analysis of uploaded media
  • Stripe: Payment processing
  • Hetzner (EU): Server hosting

5. Data Retention

Analysis results are stored until you delete them or your account. Media files are processed in memory and deleted immediately after analysis. Account data is deleted when you delete your account. Payment records are retained as required by tax law (typically 10 years).

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure: Delete your account and all data
  • Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format (JSON export)
  • Objection: Object to data processing
  • Complaint: File a complaint with your local data protection authority

7. Cookies

We use only essential cookies for authentication (Supabase session cookies). We do not use tracking cookies, analytics, or advertising cookies.
